Instinctive Center - The Man, the Planet

A recapitulation of some of the introductory ideas in “Shocks” is presented as an entry point to a larger discussion of the essential relation between the instinctive side (the Instinctive Center) of man in relation to “Life on Earth.” This class study refers to Speeth’s The Gurdjieff Work; Gurdjieff’s Beelzebub’s Tales to His Grandson; Ouspensky’s In Search of the Miraculous and Psychology of Man’s Possible Evolution; it relies on nomenclature from the developed psychology of Brain Systems, a paper listed in this series.

Primary topics: the esoteric and sacred, special nature of the emotional part of the Instinctive Center [INe]; Ashiata’s Terror of the Moment; the interaction between INe and essence as it is considered for the planet; matters of involution and evolution; the transformation of substances; reciprocal feeding; intuition; the integration of the materiality of evolution, physics and [esoteric] super-physics of man and the earth; and some simple calculus which strives to express the monumental forces expressed by the rate of change of INe over time driven by what appears to be chance.
