Brain Systems has long enjoyed a position in this school as one of the original bricks. It has very frequently been the first thing offered to our new students. Their deep familiarity with the concepts presented there allow a much easier approach to ideas presented not only in our other class papers but also the writings of Mr. Gurdjieff and the other great authors contributing to the literature of the Fourth Way. Brain Systems outlines a conceptual model to understand the human organism and gives the student a new system of terminology to identify and discuss those concepts. The concepts presented there are employed time and time again in almost every other paper written for this school -- making an understanding of Brain Systems not only invaluable but often a prerequisite for the other papers.
